There are plenty of software available to backup your browser settings. Irrespective of the browser you use, you are bound to find something that suites you. Some solutions backup date on the cloud while some stick to your local storage device. However, all these software are restricted to a specific browser. If you are someone who uses multiple browsers this isn’t the ideal scenario. You would have to rely on multiple programs to essentially doing the same task.
Fortunately for us the guys at Favbrowser have come up with a backup solution that works with all the popular browsers. Favbackup is phenomenal software that works with Internet Explorer 6+, Firefox 2+, and Opera 9+. Safari 3+ and Chrome 1+. It is an exhaustive solution that backs up almost much anything you can personalise. This includes basic stuff like bookmarks, history, download history, preferences, search engines and sessions as well as some other stuff you may not expect like spelling dictionary (Fx), Toolbar size settings (Fx), Mime Types (Fx), Extensions (Fx and Chrome), Notes (Opera), Mouse Gestures (Opera), Menu Configuration (Opera).

FavBackup is a portable software (doesn’t require installation). It is an awesome backup tool in its own right and its cross-browser compatibility makes it even more outstanding. It does have an obvious disadvantage compared to some of the cloud backup solutions. However, even if you use an online backup solution to sync your settings you may want to keep this in your collection. While online tools may take care of the commonly required options like bookmarks and RSS feeds they normally miss out on things like extensions and preferences. I am certainly impressed with this software. Are you?

Yeah. I gave the size for the portable version, since it’s smaller.
