New Theme for Pallab dot Net

This blog is now powered by the Hybrid theme framework and I am using the Hybrid News Theme. I had been using True Elegance theme for more than a year. While it’s an excellent theme it is no longer supported by the developer and was fast becoming outdated.

Hybrid Theme Framework is a highly flexible and powerful theme framework, and is among the best free frameworks available. Hopefully you would like the new look of the blog. Do let me know if you spot any bugs or rough edges.

And before I forget I must thank the folks at BloggingTips forum (especially Sarah) for helping me sort out the initial problems I faced. I posted my problem at a number of places including official (WordPress support forums), but Blogging Tips was the only place I got a reply from.

love it! gives that professional touch to this blog. :) But I kinda liked the header in the previous theme. Keeps the reader hooked.

btw, if you are keeping the flash tags thingy as an eye candy, bring it on top. IMO, its not very functional :)

      Thanks for your feedback.
I have to agree about the previous theme’s header. That actually helped me reduce the bounce rate. I decided to change it as that theme didn’t have most of the newer Wpress features.
As far as the Flash Tags is concerned, I am in two minds. I know that the static tags are more intuitive. But there is also the possibility that the Flash Tag Cloud may attract a reader’s attention and get him to click.

I would love to hear your thoughts on this.

Is this still the current theme being used here or have you gone to something else?
