Blog Comments Fixed

For the greater part of this week the comment system of this blog was broken. It was due to an incorrect setting in my anti-spam plugin. Any attempt to leave a comment would have returned an error – “failed to add your comment”. I have fixed the issue now. Thanks to Andre for bringing this to my attention. I apologise for any inconvenience caused by my gaffe.

      In my case the problem was being caused by wp-spamfree. It was configured to block any user behind a proxy. Changing that setting fixed the issue.
      This may or may not be the case with you. if you are having trouble isolating the issue try disabling all the plugins.

        I find that’s often the case, you gotta go through each plugin and diagnose from there, and if you can’t pin point to a certain plug, then you are just gonna have to go to through all the options and see if something’s not right.
