In the final review of the series I will take a look at Themestock.com. Themestock.com is from the same guys who are behind Boxedart.com and Built2Go.com. Themestock focuses on Content Management System (CMS) templates or skins. Themestock provides themes for traditional CMS like Drupal, Joomla and Mambo as well as blogging platforms like WordPress, e-commerce softwares like osCommerce, osCMax and Zencart and forum softwares like vBulletin and PhpBB.
All the Themestock themes are designed keeping in mind modern webdesigning trends. All the themes are valid XHTML 1.0 transitional and make use of tableless interface. Each theme package contains the design PSD (photoshop editable) files for the theme and standard HTML version of the template with external CSS styling – hence each template can be used as a standard website template. Installing a skin is very simple (often just a matter of unzipping and uploading) since each skin is specifically designed keeping in mind the CMS platform. Like it’s sister websites Themestock provides anuual, biannual and quaterly member accounts priced at $139.99, $119.99 and $89.99. Members have unlimited access to the hundreds of ThemeStock skins catering to as many as fifteen Content Management Systems. An account at Themestock also entitles you for discount at Boxedart and Built2go and vice-versa. CMS powered websites are rapidly replacing static html websites due to their ease of use and convenience. With CMS, once the software is installed adding new articles, deleting/modifying old articles etc involve lot less hassle than static html websites since the software takes care of everything.
