Does the graphics card/adapter of the laptop need to be in working order in order for this device to function? I've got a Toshiba 5105-603 Satellite-series notebook in which the graphics card (it has a separate card) has gone feet up (massive minus points on Toshiba for turning a blind eye to this series epidemic!!). I COULD disassemble my laptop and send the card to some guy in Canada to get it re-soldered or repaired somehow, BUT I'd much rather just plug a solution like the ATI-XGP above into my laptop somehow instead!

Yeah this sounds good. just a couple of questions. Can the case take dual slot cards, I take it the laptops need more than 1 pcie 2.0 connector for CrossfireX coz it dont look like they can take 2 cards
