War against SPAM is really good step!
The problem is that to be found someone
(Frontier) who have the real big power to
support this war so we can continue.
Now days a 95% of mails include SPAM from MEDs
till SEX...
Most of the sites try to put in your pc a troj
or some other bull... so they can get your INFO
and SPAM you later...
No trust anymore....

Clearly the best way to sort this out would be to identify all the drones/botnets/zombies and get the owners of the affected PC's to take back control. This removes the ability to create a DDOS agaianst, well anyone! Then the spammers have no power at all. Blue Frog or its up an coming derivitives (oh yes there will be more) will have nothing to fear! the spammers on the other hand..... Vigilantees, no, Vigilence and security, yes!

I'll make this short and sweet.

Spammers need to be shot!

They ruined a perfectly good program and systemt hat gave us the chance to fight back and now look what happened? Lets hope someone big like Google or that takes over as then we may have a better chance to stop these spammers in their tracks.

Offcourse. We should fight back. Bluesecurity doesnt cause any problem. It will just sit in the system tray and do it's job. It is very light. Since you use Firefox also download the firefox extension.

The Blue Frog Community will grow, no doubt because people are tired of spam and have been looking for a 'real" solution to stop spam. Take a look at the various message boards and see the comments.

Spammers are vulnerable not at the point of sending spam but at the merchant sites advertised in the spam. Will merchants continue to hire spammers for their services when the backslash against these "spamvertised" sites prevent them from doing business? That is the "true" power of the blue frog community. Strike at the weakest link in the spam chain: the merchant web sites.

Spam war can hide another more difficult to handle...

A Spam War has been declared against an Israeli Security Startup: BlueSecurity. They claim they handle spam by attacking back Spammers who have been identified by the help of a community of users complaining they received spam. Millions of Spams...

And wait till a vigilante hacker makes a decentralized version of Blue Frog. Then things will get REALLY interesting B-). But until then, we'll have to stick with Blue Frog :)

What BlueSec has developed will help win the war againist spam than any spam filter.

Appears that a opt-out response towards a web site contained in the spam is the most effective. This is where spammers are the most vulnerable, the merchant's site advertised in the spam.

When merchants realize that if they use a spammer to promote their products and said promotion incurs a rather organized response (aka Blue security) then merchants will be less prone to use spam as a method of advertising.

It really has become a war, and might indeed be a winnable one.

I, for one, am very happy.
